Wow. Blue team gets pretty upset when red doesn't resign. I've been playing hero battles today but actually playing when I draw red. I've been called a few choice names today.

chocobo and chrisworld:
the people you stay against don't do terribly because you're so much better than them, they do terribly because they don't come in prepared to play; doing so would be a waste of time if your goal is to RR, and if you're in HB today without the intention of RRing you're either an idiot or griefing. honestly though, good job - the idea that you guys think other people are so beneath you for losing has me raging probably just as much as you would like me to be.

Seriously? You're calling someone who wants to play hero battles the way its supposed to be a griefer?

Well Anet just used their banhammer on my account. Just for participating in the RRday. I did fight when needed. Oh and it is not temporary... CODE=045 They think I'm a bot, and the ban is permanent. Did they PM me? No, I was not marked as offline or away. If they pm'd me I would have responded. They could also see in their logs that I was actually quite active helping guildies and just chatting in general.

Wawa... I wan't my account back!

In terms of RR day, yes, a griefer. Probably not the best of terms to use though.

having fun with this today...bothered to put decent bars on my heroes and teach the stubborn reds a lesson. (honestly...how is exploiting exploiters honorable? two wrongs don't make a right.) getting quite a kick out of all the ragequitting and name calling. i haven't had this much fun in GW in a long time!

yes, because he's not really trying to play legit (he knows he won't be able to given the huge number of people RRing), he's trying to ruin other people's RR attempts. while RRing may be cheating according to anet, it's not impossible to grief cheaters.

I've been doing the opposite. I resign as red and then play as blue when the other guy refuses to. Luckily, they're usually really bad and I can just curb-stomp them in a minute or two while spamming "RED RESIGNS" in all chat.

That.... is just awful logic.

So... you should be banned for cheating if you do RR
You should be banned for greifing if you don't

of course not. you shouldn't be banned for either.

also there's nothing flawed with my logic. the undesirable conclusion you came to is a result of anet's policies.

LOL. Sounds like you may have played my second account in first match. Those builds are pretty much all the skills I have on that one. He comes in handy for z missions, clicking my main's name and following still gets better results than most players and I get double rewards.

Plus he still managed to beat quite a few HBers ..... despite Ricky Gervais and my main acc distracting me.

Oh and I have to agree with your sentiment. If you don't want to resign you don't have to, no matter how many people think it is a great idea. But if you win that many matches you shouldn't really be meeting many RRer's should you?

I am playing HB because I want to best people in battle with my hero team and I'm seeing people rage at me when they are the cheater, lol. Not once on the game box anywhere did it say, "Oh hey..every once in a while HB will be used as RR day and you should follow exploiters" No..it didn't.

Btw...You are raging? You are actually MAD? I Made you mad? Freakin awesome! Tell me more!!! Does it make you even angrier that I am a PvE player?

The fact that you are raging makes me lulx.

Again, I am playing totally legit. No matter what side I go on I play and attempt to best my enemy and capture shrines. I get the Blue team calling me names, now you are calling me names now! Whoo whee, i can't get away from you guys! Dang it!

I know a MOD is going to come along and either tidy my post or remove it. but they should lol at us arguing first and then PM me so we can talk.

I'm not doing anything wrong here. If i recall you are calling me an idiot or a grifer hell you even called me pathetic in a few posts and putting me down and I'm playing legit!

Good Game sucka

/facepalm

after seeing this post I wouldn't be surprised if RRers started /reporting those who don't resign...

Not only they are cheating and getting away with it. Now they even DEMAND to cheat...

seriously... this is absurd.
Are you calling "griefers" and "idiots" the ones who are actually playing HB without match manipulation?

PS - Gz to Chocobo and Chris.
If what you do (playing by the rules) pisses off the RRers, that's the RRers problem... post more raging screenshots plz.

You should be banned for griefing. Compare to the guy taking the law into his own hands because he feels the government/police isn't doing their job. That kind of action is illegal in rl.

RR isn't cheating. If it was Anet would have put a stop to it long ago, not just made some ambigious statement in some hidden blog on an employee's userpage on a wiki that only a fraction of the userbase visits.

Anet has created a game where grind is considered the way to play the game, the in-game rewards given for repetitive behaviour proves that. Finding the optimal way of increasing ones rewards over time is not cheating, it's playing the game Anet has intended. If Anet wanted you to focus on "having fun", "playing with others" or something else they would have put less emphasis on titles, emotes, flashy gear and more on skill balance issues.

Let the hypocrisy end.

Thanks man, At least I know someone here enjoys me. Me and chocobo must be the last people in GW who strive to play normal,.

And in the end... its people like me who get yelled at/banned from guru for defending ourselves FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING.

Btw.. I have toooo many screenies of the ragers. But one funny one was the guy who kept calling me a "looser" and using + signs with everything he said.
